Yoga with Pets; is this a good idea?

If you haven’t personally experienced it, you’ve likely heard about it; yoga with pets.  Goat yoga was popular for a while, then horse yoga was all the rage, and now yogis and students alike are including their cats and dogs. Does having your furry friend joining you on the mat benefit or inhibit your practice? Ultimately, that’s up to you, but let’s give it some thought.

The Green Yogi

Have you ever wanted to add yoga to your holistic toolbox but felt as if you didn’t know where to start? Have you ever taken an intro class and it seems like everyone else has been practicing for decades? For me, yoga was both fascinating and intimidating. I was intrigued by all the poses and did a lot of research on the physical and mental benefits of practicing yoga. It wasn’t until I got past the whole “I’m not flexible enough” mindset that I was able to fully embrace the mind body yoga experience and gain the strength and flexibility that was appropriate for my body. How did I do this you ask?  It’s more of a mental than a physical process, I’ll explain.

On Gratitude

It didn’t take long for me to see the positive results of consciously practicing gratitude.  In fact, I was surprised at how easy the shift in thinking was for me. I can explain how and why in a way that makes sense.
